To Cry or not to Cry... |

HELLO MY BEAUTIES!! And how are we all? I figured I should post again before the masses come to lynch me, or string me up from the nearest tree.
So, since only one person voted regarding the content of my next few blogs (shout out to Leesh!) I figured that this is what will be posting, so after this, and another one including pics of the past weekend, I will be sharing a snipet (there's that word again) of previous writings that may astound and amaze...or not. If anyone else would like to comment and argue this decision, please, by all means...
Now, about my past weekend, I found out I was going to HistoryMakers (in Chilliwack) the night before we were going as another leader couldn't make it, and BOY am I glad I could go! To be perfectly honest, I didn't have high hopes for it this year (I know that sounds bad, but bare with me) and it really broke all that the first night. Leeland lead worship, and I can't rave enough about this band. Seriously, the best worship leading at any historymaker/youth convention I have ever been to, b/c he taught while he lead us in worship so that people understood where he was going and why he was doing what he was doing and where he felt God leading, and constantly giving the glory to God, it was amazing. I learned a lot from just that 45 min as a worship leader then any conference I've been to on it. The whole weekend was so powerful, and really changed the lives of thousands of kids, which is incredible and was so amazing to be a part of. Not only that but the whole bonding aspect of it, within our perspective groups really helped to mold the kids together, I find there's always something about experience that kind of spiritual intensity that binds kids together. Possibly b/c of the vulnerability of the moment, and then they all kind of understand where each other is in that moment. I don't know, but it's fascinating to watch and be a part of. I also find interesting, my own attitude as I went, mostly thinking that the teens in our group would get so much out of it, but excluding myself in what God might have for me there. I think that so many times as youth leaders, we go strictly for the teens in our group and forget that God has his own agenda for us as well, and not to be so focused on everyone else and miss out on that experience as well. So overall, minus the lack of restaurant/accomadation capacity, and the weather, it was an amazing weekend, and don't worry I have lots of pictures to post at a later date.

I wish I could have been there. I always find every year that I come away with something that I never expected. It's definitely not just for the youth!

It sounds like a great weekend. God always has something new for us! What a Great God!

I'm glad you got to go, although I must admit more than a tad of jealousy. I got to go to Hillsong United the week after, so that made up for it. Thanks for blogging. I nearly gave up on you.
